1. Who We Are

DailyStride is built by Moloko Chris Poopedi, operating under M4dKreatives, based in South Africa.

2. What We Collect

2.1 Data you create locally (stored on your device)

We store the following information locally on your device using AsyncStorage:

• Habits, habit completions, and archived habits
• Profile information you set in the app (display name, bio)
• App preferences (theme, notification settings, backup schedule, sound)
• Progress data (streaks, completions)

This local data does not leave your device unless you explicitly use the optional Google Drive backup feature.

2.2 Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to connect Google Drive for backup, DailyStride uses the drive.appdata scope to save your habit data as a JSON file in your Google Drive hidden app folder — a private storage area that is not visible in your regular Google Drive view and is inaccessible to other apps or people.

• We access only files created by DailyStride in this hidden folder.
• We do not read, modify, or access any other files in your Google Drive.
• Your Google account email address is stored locally on your device to display your connection status. It is not transmitted to our servers.
• We retain a maximum of 5 backup files, removing the oldest when a new one is created.

We use Google Sign-In solely to access Google Drive for backup. We do not use it for account authentication, and we do not access your Google profile beyond what is required to authorize Drive access.

2.3 Premium / coupon redemptions

If you redeem a coupon code:

• We store an anonymous device identifier and a redemption record in our Supabase database to prevent duplicate redemptions and to manage access grants.
• The device identifier is derived from your Android device ID or iOS vendor identifier, or a generated UUID stored locally if neither is available. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal account.
• For organization-domain coupons that require email verification, we collect and store your email address in Supabase solely to verify eligibility and prevent misuse. This email is not used for marketing.

2.4 Waitlist

If you join the waitlist for DailyStride Premium, we collect your email address and store it in our Supabase database. We use it only to notify you when access becomes available. You can request deletion of your waitlist entry at any time by contacting us.

2.5 Notifications

DailyStride schedules local notifications on your device for habit reminders and streak alerts. These are processed entirely on-device and do not require a server.

3. What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, phone number, or billing address.
• We do not serve advertisements.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
• We do not collect analytics, behavioral tracking, or crash reports in the current version. This may change in a future update, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

5. Data Retention

• Local device data remains until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
• Google Drive backups remain in your Google Drive until you delete them.
• Coupon redemption records are retained for the duration of your entitlement and a reasonable period afterward for fraud prevention.
• Waitlist emails are retained until you request deletion or we notify you and close the waitlist.
• OTP verification emails are deleted from our database after verification is complete or the code expires (15 minutes).

6. Children's Privacy

DailyStride is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

• Delete local data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in your device settings.
• Delete Google Drive backup files directly from Google Drive at any time.
• Disconnect Google Drive backup from within the app at any time.
• Request deletion of your coupon redemption record, waitlist entry, or any stored email by contacting us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will update the "Last updated" date when this policy changes. For significant changes we may provide an in-app notice.
